Our Story
From Low-Cost Ventilators to AI-Driven Training
Origins
UpLeap began in Switzerland during the COVID-19 pandemic, where our team first worked on ventilator technology with clinical partners in Europe and Africa. These collaborations revealed a deeper challenge: equipment alone isn’t enough - consistent, accessible training saves more lives than any device.

Turning Point
We started exploring how technical solutions can help bridge the training gap that exists everywhere. We talked to hundreds of doctors, nurses, hospital managers, medical trainers, and many others to identify the biggest challenges in training: no time for training, no one who prepares relevant content, and extremely high costs of many alternatives.

Growth
After many test-products, we converged to what is now the UpLeap platform, and what began as a small pilot in southern Africa has grown into a cross-continental effort. UpLeap now supports hospitals, clinics, NGOs, and training organizations across Africa and the DACH region, building a global network of healthcare professionals that train smarter every day.
